A simple cast iron pipe that runs under a road and drains a tidal marsh. I first shot it head on. I liked those shots, ok. Here is an example. But I felt like there was more there, but I didn’t know where there was. There, there, while walking away nagged by a sense of missing an opportunity that a more competent photographer would see, I saw the better shot. I trudged back through the mucky marsh and took some additional photos. Here are the two I liked best.
I’m not sure why exactly, but I like the one showing a little more of the inside of the pipe. I also like a woman’s skirt with a slit that exposes one leg more than the other. That’s probably just a coincidence.
