Comet loves his early morning (5:45 or so) walks. He now expects them to begin promptly on time. If they do not, he harasses me. He is entirely unacceptably too impatient while I get dressed and prep my camera. Given his impatience with me coupled with my dutiful bowing and bagging after each of his poops, I wonder who is the owner and who is the trained pet?
Be that as it may, I love experimenting with the early morning sunlight. When it is just a streak on the horizon and then as it ejects itself from the other side of the world like a humongous Eggo rising out of a toaster. I know some people find to repetitive shots of our rising or setting sun, but not me. I find in each new light or different shadows or overlooked reflections or a challenge to photograph it again, but differently. This time, in a way that makes you acknowledge as pretty amazing this routinely taken for granted occurrence.
I fail a lot with these shots. I’m still learning my way around my lenses and my camera. If failed shots were like falling, my knees and elbows would be heavily scabbed.
These shots below were some I liked.
