Last night was movie night in the park at the end of my street. “Star Wars: Rouge One” was showing.
It was a fantastic night. Low humidity. Not too hot. Slight breeze off the river. Only thing missing were the port-a-potties, picked up my mistake earlier in the day. A decent crowd, despite the port-a-potty fail.
Shot some photographs with the Leica SL and the 24-90mm.
Two of my favorites, father with sons standing right in front of me.
The projectionist’s truck. Tough shot in the darkness. It is heavily cropped and I applied plenty of Light Room magic. If you look very closely you can just make out the projectionist’s silhouetted figure. I love how you can see the interior spaces through the windows of the building to the truck’s rear. I also took one of him before the movie started
What’s with the car’s dashboard? I just thought it looked cool. I liked that someone was treating it like a drive-in. Well, mostly. I didn’t see anyone making out in the backseat.
Out of about 75 shots, I liked maybe 7. Approx. 1 -> 10 ratio. Noise, I prefer to call it grain. Of course there is grain. I was shooting in the dark, literally and handheld.
