Six Screws a Screwing…

is what I got for Christmas instead of “six geese a laying.” Now, I’ve never been quite sure what six geese a laying are doing, but whatever it may be, it must be better than six screws a screwing into your ankle bones to secure a steel plate needed to stabilize your broken ankle.

I’m now on day three in the same room on the same pullout bed, though now my ankle is post surgery. Still painful, but less pain than the pre-surgery broken ankle, so that is good. I now have a second camera in my room, my Leica m Monochrome (246). Beggars can’t be choosers, so I only have the 75mm Leica M lens that was on it from a previous outing.

Just for fun, I repeated some of the shots from my earlier post where I used the Hasselblad X1D.

I do love this incarnation of the Leica M. These shots were in very low light and for the latter one, I pushed the ISO, yet the IQ is nothing to be ashamed of.
