For the last three weeks I’ve been uttering this to myself numerous times a day. It’s all Google’s fault. Really, isn’t that true for just about everything? Google was not indexing my previous “lensflare” site. Months and it’s internet crawling indexer continued to ignore my site. So I Googled how to solve this problem. Well, as always, the internet was filled with advice. But one consistent suggestion was to set up my WordPress site on a new hosting service. So I signed up with BlueHost and changed my domain to “WalkingComet.com.” Seemed like an obvious choice. But this meant I had to import my posts into the new site. Supposedly a one-click event. Well, it was one-click but one click multiple times and even then only about 25% of my photo library transferred. Some of the few photos that did transfer became blurry. All of them failed to enlarge when clicking on them. No worries, it only took me days of more Google searching and error and error to realize that the only way to fix each post is to delete the old photos and import them again. Thankfully, because my old blog is not indexed, there are only about five or six of you with access to it (proudly, not one of you is my mom) so it is unlikely anyone will also notice that in redoing some of my posts I have included different photos. “But why?” one of you five or six might ask if you actually noticed/cared. (Of course, the short answer is, “It’s my blog, I can do what I want.”) I will blog about in another post the longer and actual answer. To the five of six of you reading this blog, it is a frustrating tale.
Until then, a candid shot from Boston.
